Powder brows, also known as ombré brows or ombré powder brows, are a modern semi-permanent makeup technique that creates a soft, shaded, and natural appearance for your eyebrows. Unlike the hairstroke approach of microblading or nano brows, powder brows use a machine to apply pigment in a stippling method, resulting in a powdery effect that mimics the look of softly filled-in makeup. This technique is ideal for anyone looking to enhance their brows with a polished, defined shape that complements their natural features and preferences.
Why Choose Powder Brows?
Powder brows are an excellent choice for individuals who prefer a soft, makeup-like finish. The method is particularly effective for all skin types, including oily or sensitive skin, which can sometimes have difficulty retaining microblading pigment. Powder brows are less invasive than other techniques, leading to minimal discomfort during the procedure and a faster, more consistent healing process.
The Powder Brows Procedure
This technique allows for a tailored approach, offering a gradient effect where the inner brow appears lighter and gradually darkens toward the tail for a natural ombré look. With proper aftercare, powder brows can last up to 1-2 years, gradually fading to allow for updates to the shape or color as your style evolves.
Perfect for achieving a flawless, long-lasting brow look, powder brows provide a low-maintenance solution for beautifully defined eyebrows.
Our mission is to ensure you love your brows for the long term. Achieving beautiful, lasting results starts with choosing a skilled and experienced artist who understands skin types and how different techniques heal over time.
I Denisse, am deeply committed to delivering results that truly last. While it’s easy to create brows that look great for a few weeks, the real expertise lies in crafting brows that stay beautiful for years to come.
Both nanoblading and powder brows are highly effective eyebrow enhancement techniques, but the ideal choice depends on your desired look and skin type. Here’s a breakdown to help you decide:
A precise, fine needle is used to create realistic, hair-like strokes, resulting in a natural and subtle appearance. Best for individuals with fine or sparse brows who want a soft, natural enhancement.
A specialized machine creates a soft, shaded, powdery effect, mimicking the look of filled-in brows with makeup. Best for those looking for a fuller, more defined brow style, particularly if you prefer a polished, makeup-ready look.
For a natural look, Nanoblading is ideal for a subtle, hair-like finish. For a make-up effect, Powder Brows are perfect for achieving a bold, makeup-inspired appearance.
Ultimately, the best option depends on your personal style, brow goals, and skin type.

Permanent makeup requires 4-6 weeks for full healing. To ensure optimal results, plan your procedure with any upcoming events or vacations in mind.
Hair: Wash your hair before your appointment, as you’ll need to avoid getting your brows wet for the first week.
Makeup: Please skip foundation on your forehead, but feel free to wear brow makeup if you'd like us to see your usual style. Other makeup, such as waterproof mascara, eyeliner, eyeshadow (below the crease), and concealer, is fine for your photos.
Clothing: Wear dark clothing in case any pigment splashes occur during the procedure.
Exercise: Avoid exercising for at least 2-3 hours before your appointment.
Alcohol: Refrain from consuming alcohol 24 hours before your session.
Painkillers: Avoid aspirin, Advil, Motrin, Aleve, or similar products 24-48 hours before your appointment, as they can thin the blood. Tylenol is acceptable.
Blood Thinners: Stop taking omega-3s, fish oil, or other blood-thinning supplements 5 days prior to your appointment, as they can increase bleeding and affect pigment retention. If prescribed, consult your doctor before discontinuing.
Botox: Ensure Botox treatments are fully settled at least 2 weeks before your appointment.
Tanning: Your skin must not be tanned or sunburned. Wait at least 2 weeks after returning from hot climates.
Vaccines: Avoid getting any vaccines 2 weeks before your procedure.
Anti-Aging Products: Discontinue the use of retinol, glycolic acids, or other products that can make your skin sensitive for 2 weeks before your appointment.
Brow Tinting: Stop brow tinting at least 2 weeks prior so we can match the pigment to your natural brow color accurately.
Hair Removal: Avoid tweezing or waxing your brows for 2 weeks before your appointment. You may trim or remove hairs that are more than 2 inches away from your brow line.
Skin Treatments: Avoid abrasive treatments such as chemical peels, laser treatments, or hair growth serums around the treatment area for 30 days prioBy following these guidelines, you’ll set the stage for a successful procedure and beautiful, long-lasting results!
Day 1-2: You’ll receive pre-soaked cotton pads with a disinfectant solution to cleanse the area at specific intervals. Follow these instructions carefully to keep the area clean and promote proper healing.
Day 3 and Beyond: Start applying the provided aftercare balm 1-2 times daily. Continue using the balm until all scabs have naturally fallen off, and your skin feels fully healed.
Day 8: You may resume washing your face and hair as usual, being mindful of the treated area.
Ongoing Care: To protect your brows and maintain their vibrancy, always apply SPF 40+ to the area when exposed to the sun. This helps prevent fading and color changes, ensuring your brows stay fresh and beautiful longer.
By following these steps, you’ll set the foundation for stunning, long-lasting results!
Day 1-5: Your brows will look darker, thicker, and may have a slightly warm or reddish tone. This is due to the formation of scabs, which is a natural part of the healing process. It’s crucial not to pick at the scabs, as this can lead to pigment loss and uneven results.
Day 5-9: As the scabs begin to fall off, your brows may appear patchy, flaky, and feel itchy. This stage is normal but can be tempting—resist the urge to pick! Picking at the scabs can remove pigment and compromise the healing process.
Day 9-12: Your brows might look lighter or have a milky appearance. This happens because a fresh layer of skin is forming over the treated area to protect it while healing continues. Don’t worry—the pigment will gradually become more visible as the skin naturally exfoliates.
Day 12-21: The pigment will resurface, and your brows will start to darken again. By the 2-3 week mark, you’ll see the fully healed result. This is when your brows will truly settle into their final look.
Touch-Up Appointment (6 Weeks Later): At your touch-up session, any areas where pigment didn’t fully retain will be addressed. We can also make adjustments, such as darkening the brows, filling in gaps, or slightly increasing thickness. However, creating an entirely new brow shape will require a full appointment.
By following the healing timeline and attending your touch-up appointment, you’ll ensure your brows look flawless and long-lasting!
Important Touch Up Information (Under 1 year):

What is Nanoblading? How is Nanoblading different from Microblading? And which is better?
Nanoblading is similar to microblading but the difference is that nanoblading uses smaller strokes and therefore creates a more natural look than microblading. Nano techniques have shown to have greater benefits for clients. It's the latest technique for achieving ultra-natural, realistic eyebrow hair strokes.
We offer nanoblading, powder brows, brow repair protocol and professional make-up services (& coming soon-Scalp Micropigmentation, a hair loss solution for aloppecia and male-pattern baldness) at our studio located on 429 Danforth Avenue, Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
Nanoblading results typically last between 8 to 1 year, depending on factors such as skin type, lifestyle, and aftercare.Oily skin may cause the pigment to fade faster, typically requiring a touch-up within 8 - 12 months. Dry to normal skin can retain pigment longer, with results lasting up to 1 year. Regular sun exposure, skincare products (especially exfoliants), and lifestyle habits can affect longevity. To maintain the best results, we recommend a touch-up session 6–8 weeks after the initial procedureand annual maintenance appointments.
